Bobcats win fifth straight, top Hawks convincingly Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Gerald Wallace scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds, as the Charlotte Bobcats hung on to defeat the Atlanta Hawks, 98-91, at the Time Warner Cable Arena. Emeka Okafor and Raymond Felton added 17 points apiece for the Bobcats, who now hold a season-high five-game winning streak. Okafor also had 11 boards, while Felton dished out 10 assists. Boris Diaw and Raja Bell ended with 13 points and 11 points, respectively. Charlotte hasn't recorded five straight victories since March 2-8 of last season. Atlanta was paced by Al Horford, who poured in 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Mike Bibby had 14 points and six helpers for the Hawks, who finished a three-game road trip with a 1-2 mark. Josh Smith and Marvin Williams each scored 13 points, while Williams added eight rebounds. Ronald Murray finished with 14 points off the bench in defeat. The Hawks also have dropped three of their past four outings and six of their last eight. Atlanta cut the margin to two, 82-80, with a 10-2 surge to start the fourth quarter. Maurice Evans' successful tip-in attempt capped off the spurt with under eight minutes to play. The Bobcats fought back with a 10-4 flurry to essentially seal the victory. Felton's driving layup gave the home team a 92-84 lead with under two minutes remaining. The Hawks never got closer than five the remainder of the way. With the game knotted at eight early in the game, the Bobcats rattled off 12 consecutive points to go ahead by 12, 20-8. Okafor tallied six points during the spurt, which was capped off by a Okafor jumper with 6 1/2 minutes left.
