Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - The Jacksonville Jaguars re-signed oft- injured defensive end James Wyche to a new contract on Tuesday. Per club policy, length and terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 26-year-old Wyche has missed the last two campaigns due to injures.

The 6-foot-5, 275-pounder was sidelined for the entire 2008 season with a knee ailment sustained in the preseason, and placed on injured reserve in 2007 after suffering a groin injury in the final preseason contest against the Washington Redskins.

A seventh-round pick out of Syracuse in 2006, Wyche has yet to appear in an NFL game.
