Owings Mills, MD (Sports Network) - The Baltimore Ravens agreed in principle with free agent center Matt Birk on a three-year contract Wednesday.

A six-time Pro Bowl selection, Birk will officially sign on Thursday morning and be introduced later in the day. Birk had spent his entire 11-year NFL career with Minnesota and started each of the Vikings' games over the past three seasons.

The 32-year-old has made 123 starts in 146 career games and will take over the center position from outgoing Raven Justin Brown, who signed with St. Louis last week.
