Denver, CO (Sports Network) - The Denver Broncos continued their off-season spending spree by adding free agent quarterback Chris Simms and running back J.J. Arrington to their roster.

Terms of each deal were not announced.

Simms signed with the Tennessee Titans on September 9, 2008 after starter Vince Young was sidelined with a sprained MCL. Simms played in one game for the Titans and threw two passes.

Before his time with Tennessee, Simms played three seasons with Tampa Bay and started 10 games in 2005.

Arrington played in 11 regular season games, three starts, for Arizona in 2008, running for 187 yards on 31 carries with one touchdown. He also added 29 receptions for 255 yards and another score.

Serving as the Cardinals' kick returner as well, Arrington returned 36 kickoffs for 923 yards, with a 93-yard touchdown return. In four years with Arizona, the California product has totaled 654 rushing yards, 693 receiving yards and five rushing/receiving touchdowns.
