Davie, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Dolphins have signed free agent center Jake Grove to a multi-year contract.

Financial terms of the pact for the former Oakland Raider were not disclosed.

Grove has played both center and guard in five seasons with the Raiders. He started 12 games at center last year and has started 46 of the 54 games he has played since Oakland made him a second-round pick in the 2004 draft.

The signing of the former Virginia Tech All-American could push incumbent center Samson Satele to guard. Satele had been Miami's starting center for the past two seasons after the Dolphins selected him in the second round of the 2007 draft.
